Hi,

We have a bay where no matter what bill acceptor we put into it, it counts all bills as 1$.
Is it possible it can be the timer? We put a good working bill acceptor in there and same symptons occur. Our next step is to change the timer out, but wondering if anyone else has seen this?

We have old Dixmor 2000 timers.

Thanks
Ian

I had a Brandt coin counter repair man (a real pro) who had as part of his repertoire of tools a PULSE COUNTER ... I never did get one for myself. Has anybody on the forum invested in one? It seems like it would be a quick way to verify if your problem is in the bill acceptor or the timer.

Randy Nix or other expert ... where are you when we need you🤷‍♀️?

So we just had a situation where our bill acceptor would accept bills but not put any time on the meter counter. Coins worked perfectly. The CryptoPay swiper would swipe cards but not put time on the counter too yet we were charged. We swapped acceptors, swipers, and cables. No joy.

issue was the Dixmor led7. From all appearances it seemed fine. When I scrolled through the various menu items with the remote I noticed that the AUX menu item was no longer there. AUX is usually set to 4 pulses. When we swapped the led7 things worked. Guessing the firmware went bad for no reason.

Without seeing the validator or the timer on the work bench, I would probably have to say that it's the timer that's bad. What you could do is swap the validator from one bay to another and try it.
