Nan

I had 5 cryptopay creditcard swipers installed at my carwash last Oct 2014, 3 of the swipers have gone bad already no warranty from manufacture because when installed they claim screws to tight. There was no specs in manual on how much to torque bolts, really do you not think that should be part of the installation manual since the swiper will cost me $350.00 each this also has made it very hard for customers to swipe creditcards my thought is how the swiper was manufactured?

That does not seem like it is possible that you could tighten the screws to tight.... the screws bolt on a thin metal backing and could not mess up anything? But the threads on the backing? The board also has holes in it to accommodate the screws.... not to damage anything.

But I am not surprise there was moisture problems. Compared to a Brush which is build like a brick.... this is a toy. Unless my acceptor is a bad one?
