Hi guys, I need to rent a 20-25' flatbed trailer form Springfield, MO to Tampa, Fl next week and can't seem to find one anywhere on the internet.I need to move an automatic car wash. Does anyone have any ideas on where I can find one. I looked at all the listings on the net, but can't find what I need. Thanks.

Why not simply contract a motor freight hauler? Mine was shipped via Big Rig from Arizona to MA. You could load it w/a fork truck and tarp it up.

Is this going to be a one way rental? If not, do you have a trailer sales company nearby? Last time I needed a big trailer I rented one from where I bought my enclosed trailer.

MikeV,

Just before winter in October we needed to rent a trailer & even here in Bismarck - Mandan we had quite a selection of flatbeds (all sizes) available to rent. It ran us about 60 dollars for about a one day round trip (a few hundred miles) that we needed to make. It seems like if we would have needed it for several days or a week or so the cost per day would have gone down. The flatbed was a top notch double axle with all the regulation requirements we needed plus a few more such as a trailer jack etc.

The point is from my experience ---- Springfield, Missouri is a really great place with more population than us --- & I think you will be surprised at what you come up with looking at trailer rental in their yellow pages --- it is weird sometimes --- the internet --- misses some of the most obvious availabilities.

I hope this helps.

Thanks for your help and responses. This is what we decided to do. After talking with my customer in Florida, he and a friend of his decided that I would buy a trailer here in Houston, take it to Springfield, load up the car wash, take it to Tampa and he and his friend would buy the trailer. Said he needed one anyway. Found a trailer ...dual axle, electric brakes and all that for around $2000.00. The downside is that I have to haul the trailer from Houston to Springfield. At least I don't have to bring it back to Houston as it is a one way trip for the trailer. That was the problem with trying to rent one...no one would do a one way rental.
