Read projection DLP by Mitsubishi...not good :(

I just gave away a 57" Sony Hi-Scan 16:9 capable of lowest resolution HiDef for free...and had a little difficulty at that :(

I had a 60" InFocus awhile back the DLP part was great the whole TV was less than 2" thick.

Problem was a power supply, sold it. I hope this one is a better deal, that one was a $8K TV, this one is only $600, delivered. I can just throw it away.

I did quite a bit of research before I pulled the trigger yesterday. That model has quite a good reputation and was highly rated. Its going to replace a 10 year old 51" dlp that cost 4 times as much as this one when new. For $600 I'll take my chances.

If you have room for it DLP is amazing. In many ways it is a better picture then LCD/LED. Just takes a lot of room and you can't wall mount. Killer deal.

My first one was only 2" thick and this one is only 15" You could wall mount it but it would be a trick, self engineered for sure.

I just checked and apparently, you can still get one. It was suppose to be a one day deal.

A friend of mine said that he bought this TV last year for $1200, and he likes it.

Apparently, the one day only thing is BS, its still available.

However, it was to be delivered today the 3rd, but the trucking company says maybe the 7th.

Followup

Well, this has been a trip. Dell said that the TV would be delivered on the 3rd, on the 3rd I then get a computerized call from the trucking company (Pilot) saying that I would be called for delivery with a link to track your delivery. I look on site and see that it was scheduled for delivery on the 7th.

On the 6th I get another computerized call from Pilot. On the 7th I called Dell which knew nothing but gave me Pilots phone, when I call them, they have no idea where the shipment was or when it would be delivered.

On the 8th Dell calls and asked if the TV was delivered and was I happy, when I told him that it had not been delivered, he said that it would be delivered tomorrow.

On the 12th I get an email from Dell asking me if I had cancelled the delivery as that is what Pilot had told them. I responded. On the 13th, I get the same email again.

Pretty pathetic. Since shipping is free, they use the cheapest trucking outfit out there and then they get crap for service from them.
