Need advice: LED Black Light strip, for LW

i've been thinking the same idea for my side trac 700.

i think a 12vdc l.e.d. that is colored and bright would work well. i saw what the new WW Razors have for the lava arch and it looks like 3 pink led's.

on mine i'd somehow wire it into the foam relay or pedestal sign for foam polish. not sure yet.

I have an older LW. I have T8 bulbs , on a photo cell, mounted on top edge of bay.

Any advice out there? I want it to be CHEAP, but put off a lil bit of black light, cause I have the JBS "Glow Foam".

I don't think you'll get the result you're looking for from a LED black light because LEDs don't produce much UV, which is where all the black light effect comes from.

anyone out there ever try something like this?
What about just putting a 4' Black light tube in the light fixture, & take 1 of the regular tubes out?

I know at $4500 the Over Glow Retrofit kit for the LW4000 is pricey, but it would allow you to do what you want and then some without having to reinvent how to apply an LED light bar to the bridge. I don't know if it can be purchased with a UV LED light bar, but you could replace the one that comes with the kit for a few hundred dollars from Environmental Lights. You could use the RGB LED light bar that comes with the kit to just create the appearance of different color chemicals with every pass, plus you would get the ability to apply a curtain of carnuba wax on your top wash. The curtain of wax usually allows you to get an extra $2 for your top package. Just my 2 cents worth.
