Does anybody know any tricks to removing tar from the walls and concrete floor of a self serve bay? Not sure what material the bay walls have on them as far as the covering. Its some type of textured plastic...
there are many solvents that remove tar. Mineral spirits work and is what our detail shop uses. the paving companies use diesel fuel to remove it from their tools.
is it actually tar? Or is it sealcoat? Is it oil or water based? we are getting into the end of sealcoating season, so we will begin to see sealcoat rigs getting cleaned out, if its water based sealer and it had time to dry, "GOOD LUCK" oil based is actually easier to clean. Besides owning a 7 bay, also have a sealcoat co. diesel or kero, for oil base, wire brush and pressure for water based sealer.
