Hi there,

I do have a vector car wash, now the problem is the butter fly arms are acting weird ! they club in the front but they don't in the back of the car. what I mean is the go full round in front of the car and club and get the front clean but they don't do when they go to the back of the car ! they leave the plate of the car uncleaned! it doesn't get any soap or any water ! could be the sonar ? could be something mechanical ? I need help plz ! there is no strange noise coming out from the gear box . everything seems fine and smooth .

thanks to everyone

I think that could be either the top sonar or the rear eyes (assuming you have a VPS system).
I would start by swapping the front and back sonar to see of the problem switches to the front. You can also watch the input and outputs to see if the sonar is picking up the vehicle/floor.

Due to so many problems with prox switches, i disabled the butterfly proxes on main computer. It doesn't size side to side , but because of all the problems none of their new machines due that either. If you were talking the license plate overlap, it may be a weak sonar. They are on all the time, and last about 3yrs, and cost close to $300. Under I/O you can watch that on the computer.

I don't think it's a sonar issue because it will either "see" the back of the car and wash it properly or it won't see it and go to the rear limit and shut down with an overlength error. If it was something mechanical it would shut down with a butterfly jam error. My first thought would be the butterfly prox.
