6 bay SS w/laundromat
As I took the most current version of the SSCWN out of my large oversized mailbox this afternoon, I basically started reading from the beginning & did not stop. Kate's article about her challenging proposition of working within a bona fide home office with toddlers present was a great read. The not too small of print helped my "bionic" far sided eyes. When I was in Minneapolis - St. Paul for a regional coin laundry association workshop back in Sept of 2011, a first cousin (grew up on a family farm) who works indirectly with the Federal Reserve (a small cog in a big wheel) & his wife invited me over to their condominium in Bloomington. I got a kick out of it when he said that he would not be off of work until 5 PM so he made sure I came after that specific time. So I can relate to the discipline required etc. His dedicated space was more impressive of an office suite than the cubicle that he was in downtown Minneapolis. Also his journey to work used to be over the same freeway bridge that collapsed from lack of maintenance &/or faulty design ... which he was fortunate enough to not be driving over at the time.
I have to admit that I am a bit jealous of Kate's writing skills. True to Joe & Julia Campbell's founding principles ... the interviews "for better or for worse" appeared to be not paraphrased. This is good because sometimes hidden "not ideal" agendas are more likely to come out that way for the more perceptive of us & others.
