new manager at full service need guidance

hello, all! I apologize for the long post ahead of time but please read, any help is so greatly appreciated..

Recently I have became the head manager at a full service car wash. I have always wanted to OWN a car wash so i decided to work at one to learn the ins and outs.....

Well, that was 8 months ago when i started and things really took off. before i knew it i was approached by the owner to run the show. Thats where im at now.

The one thing i need badly is a good, efficient procedure....right now my procedure goes like this

2 guys on the outside, drying each half of the car and doubling back to hit door jams

1 guy up front to do windshield, both driver and passenger windows, dust dash and cup holders.

1 guy in the back doing back window, and both back doors

and 1 tire guy drying wheels and applying tire shine.

can anyone give me some insight from experience on a tried and true efficient method?

A technique called "four-pass" is commonly used at many full-service and flexible service conveyors.

Two people, one on each side, work front to back, two times, to complete exterior and interior work.

If a Simoniz (Wash Depot) or Car Spa brand wash is nearby, you can see the process in action.

Otherwise, maybe some operator who frequents this site would be willing to spend time on the phone with you to explain in detail.

PRODUCTION TEAM Finishing Area

After-Care model:
Bisect the vehicle.
Team: 2 cross-trained attendants required; one on driver-side, one on passenger-side.
[windows, door jambs, air-purge residual water wipe, etc. air-purge & vacuum interior, dash/console/door panel wipedown]
Alternate inside rear window.
Rotate (switch sides) for each vehicle; driver-side-to-passenger-side reduces fatigue.
Inspection Rotation: teammates check each other's work.;)

Add/Reduce teams as demand warrants.

thanks for the replies they are greatly appreciated. I like the idea of having the guys switch sides each car to prevent fatigue. Im going to try these out and see which one flows
