Hi, we have two laser wash 4000 auto washes that both have an issue with spot free rinse not working. Spot free tank is full, have bypassed the float sensors to make it think tje tank is full incase the sensors were faulty. Still no spot free.

Things to check.

Is the JO cabinet showing a low water auxiliary message? Are is X36 lit up? If so the low water RO Tank float may be bad. You can pull it out and check for continuity with a multi meter. It should change state when held in a down position and switched to an up position. If the low level float is working and X36 is still lit up then the bung switch float in the soap tank may have been wired to X36. Some installers wire it to X35 and some to X36. Check it for continuity while switching it's state.

If X36 isn't lit up and there's no error messages then are the Spot Free pumps on the pump stands turning on when you activate them? If they are and all valves between the tank and pump are open, then check the Spot Free check valve at the tree manifold. If they are not coming on then you have some kind of electrical problem. Check voltage to the top of the Spot Free contactors and through the contactors when Y37 is on.

You can jog the pump thru the JO box. USE a good well insulated screwdriver and push the contactor in - it should be labeled for spot free. It is on the bottom row near the right side. If pump runs then at least you know it is good

Hi, thank you for your response. It was greatly appreciated. Turns out the pumps were full of air. The tank must have emptied at some point. My guess is the floats must have had an issue. It's probably a bit rare for both to play up at once. Anyway, it must have emptied, then refilled as the tank was full when the problem was discovered.
They are going now , no issues.
Another strange thing was that when they weren't working and I had my arm in the tank rattling the floats the spot free water in the tank was bubbly as if there was soap in it..

Your low level float should have stopped the pumps from running and sucking air. I would check the float.
