No voice!

I recently installed a new environmental control in my Goldline cashier. The voice stopped working about the same time (i think). Now the e.c. is repaired and no longer pops breaker but still no voice.

i turned up speaker volume and wiggled connections for speaker but still no go.

what next?

Sounds like a bad speaker. Disconnect leads to speaker, then touch the speaker terminals with good 9volt battery. Should hear crackling static noise to indicate good speaker. Assuming bad speaker, you can usually buy local or track down on line, I think mine came from a scuba supplier....Hamilton is pricey on this non propriety item
