Nozzle Trade

Just putting this out there. I have 28 Hydra-Flex Blast-Tec Pro 324 No. 6.0 Rotating Nozzle - 1/4in. BSPP which are 3gpm. My pump is 35.4 gpm, which is causing pressure related problems. I need to downgrade to a 4.0 nozzles, which are 2gpm. Given the cost of 28 nozzles just thought I would post this in case someone was looking to upgrade and wanted a trade (Less than 2000 washes on them) or had a some to sell.

What kind of machine are these in? Any reason you need blast tec instead of another brand? We have been replacing blast tecs with giant nozzles as they go bad with good results, don't have enough washes on them to know long term reliability still though. But at 1/2 the price, definitely worth trying for us.

What are you doing with the bad blast tec nozzles? Are you throwing them away? There is only 2 reasons a blast tec nozzle does not spin:

1. Pre filter screen is clogged. Scraping it with a screwdriver will clean it.
2. There is a rubber cone inside the keg that when it gets worn out obstructs the spinner. I had a company custom make me the same cone but in plastic and not rubber. Seems to fix the problem indefinitely.

Ive only had them made for the blast tec 324.

We had 8-10 get freeze damaged, so those were junk. We can usually get them going with the filter screen cleaning you mentioned. Only have them in a couple IBAs, so not blowing threw them by any means. If the filter cleaning doesn't work, we usually just replace and move on. There is a company selling 3d printed repair kits online also, I may try 1 or 2 out if I get time. Not a huge deal for us to replace, since we may do 1 or 2 in a year, and even that's a maybe. I'm not affiliated with this company and have never tried their stuff.

It look like there selling just the spinner. Ive rebuilt probably a 100 of these and never once was the spinner the issue. It's always been the screen or that cone that is the issue. Im not saying the spinner cant go bad im sure it can but I personally have not had one. If you only have a few go bad a year then I would just keep a couple new nozzles on the shelf and call it a day. They are offering a free "sample" if you fill out a form on their website. One thing I dont like is their is no phone number listed. Starting to become the norm nowadays for companies. Very annoying. Wish I could do the same for all the washes lol Pretty cool the stuff people can do with 3D printers though.
