i have decided to disable the credit card reader (ePort) on my shurvend because it's a money-loser.

what is the order of operations to do this on a shurvend 51?

I up charge 6% on my vending cc reader to make up for the 5.95% fees, so I don't lose anything. I have a Nayax reader that came with my shurvend, but you can buy directly from them. Can't you do the same with yours?

Waxman,

I guess you do not have higher priced gift cards or VIP cards that justify the credit card reader. You need to call USA Tech to have them close your account so you don't get charged the monthly fee; shut down the power to the vendor and disconnect the e-Port power harness from the MDB circuit. This should be the first connection that is plugged into the MDB harness that comes down from the control board. Reconnect the validator harness to the MDB harness so the bill validator and the changer will work.

Waxman,

You will have to call USA Tech to find out about this. Slash has the newer NAYAX reader and adding a percentage might be an option. Technology is changing so fast that I don't know what each system does or does not do. Your e-Port is 6 years old which is a lifetime in technology.

Waxman,

I have a similar set up at our wash. I have gift cards and wash passes in them, but at the rate I discount them, and for how few of them I move, I too feel that the eport is kind of a money loser for me as well. Will you do anything to make your customers aware of the new fee? Or just wait until someone notices and explain it on a case by case basis?

Is it legal to charge different prices for the same product because of payment method? I was under the impression that practice was outlawed.

Jeff,

We see it in gas stations all the time here in California. There is signage stating this fact.
