ok bioshine fans

alrighty bioshine fans....im 2/3 of the way thru my free five gallons, and have yet to produce a tire that satisfies me in comparison to the black magic ive been using. i WANT bioshine to work, for both green factors (the environment and the money) heres my setup: sonnys tire shiner, with some modifications, going on after spot free, before blowers...using a flo-jet, bout 30 lbs. of pressure...but on new pads, even ran new lines out to the pads, put on a brand new flo-jet, really want to give this stuff a true test, and thus far its failing...any suggestions, ideas, etc...?

I tried an earlier version and wasn't impressed. The shine lasted about 5 minutes. They say that the new formula lasts longer. Did you replace your pads when you switched over?

There is an easy way to "test" a tire dressing for its full potential of shine. This will help let you know if you have a situation elsewhere or with the product. Wipe the tires down with a solvent or thinner. This will leave you with an extremely clean tire surface. Apply the dressing on the cleaned and dry surface. If it shines well, then you know there is an issue somewhere else.

Which Black Magic are you guys using? I have never been satisfied with it and have used it in Sonny's, the old Armor All, and the new Hanna machines. I would like to use it as it is the only non BC product in our stock.

Tried the Bio Shine in my viper unit. After a couple of gallons went back to the viper product.

Chad- We are also running the new Bioshine through the Sonny's tire shiner. We have been fiddling with the pressure and the nozzle locations to get a suitable shine. We are getting pretty close but having some problems getting it to be even all around the tire. In the places it goes on, it looks really good and lasts for a while.

The new formula has potential, it is just a matter of tweaking our equipment.

Chad: Bioshine is water soluble (not to be confused with water-based). The goal is to have the least amount of water present on the tire at the point of application. To prove this point apply Bioshine to a damp tire AFTER it exits the tunnel. With the equipment setup you described, I would suggest lowering the volume of the spot free since it's the last application of water before the applicator.

You really don't need to change tubing, pads, etc. The glycerol in Bioshine will emulsify residual silicone. This is why Bioshine will start to clean silicone left on the floor, equipment, and lot.
