Was watching the Masters golf thing (that's a sure sign you're getting old) and could not help but notice the coveralls that the caddys wore. They look like left over items from a closed Sears store. I mean they didn't even fit well. Someone in the past must have really hated caddys. Anyone know why this is?

I think it is more tradition than anything else. In the "good old days" of golf caddies often wore coveralls like this as a type of uniform especially at the high brow clubs. This is probably the only tournament (or even course) that has uniforms like this. They have built a real mystic around the Masters and stubbornly refuse to make any real updates. The best tradition they keep though are very low prices on refreshments. The food is great and cheap.

I made the mistake a couple of years ago of flying my plane to Augusta when the Masters was going on. I was there to show a customer an automatic nearby and had no idea the tourney was going on. I knew something was up when the flight line was literally filled with private jets and turboprops. Well they wanted $50 just to park. And cash only. When I said I was there to look at a car wash, they just said "cash only". I did sell the machine though.

I had a similar experience several years ago when I was calling on a customer we had in Augusta. Didn't book a room and almost had to drive all the way back to Atlanta to find a place to stay.
