My compressor has taken a dump. The Coleman replacement is around $400. There has to be a more cost effective solution.

The old compressor is a Gast Model MOA-P159-AA. It has a solenoid that attaches to the top of it that opens when the button is pushed on the brush.

The solenoid is likely added on, and can probably be put on a replacement compressor.

I'm sure you can find something less expensive that matches its ratings - all that really matters is that it produces enough air and can fit in place of the old one.

I'll try to get the model number off of one in our Doyle combo units. They're much larger than what Fragramatics uses and really give a good mist of fragrance and loads of shampoo foam from the Fragramatics guns/brushes I use on the machines.

Thanks MEP! I definitely want to get it running before we hit our busy season in the spring. That gives me about thirty to forty five days to get one.

The smaller one is probably closer to what you have. I'm sure it can be found cheaper somewhere other than Grainger. I had no luck on eBay, though I did find a "new" 607CA22 for sale, the older equivalent to the 617CA22, Grainger's 5Z646.

I've already checked Harbor Freight, and they have nothing that would work.

If your conduit to the vacs is big enough you could thread a 1/4" tubing from the equipment room.

Here is a good one for you. I was talking with a buddy of mine, he mentioned that he had a fish tank aerator (sp?) that would kick out plenty of air. Those things are made for a continuous run if I am not mistaken. What's your opinion on whether or not that would work?

It would be nowhere near enough pressure or flow, probably not even enough to move any air through the tubing in the hose.
