I am remodeling an existing location and adding 2 IBAs. Part of the remodel includes reversing the current traffic pattern. Currently traffic enters a dedicated entrance and travels around the building clockwise goes thru the bays and exit a dedicated exit. The new traffic pattern will have a common entrance/exit and have the traffic going in a counter-clockwise direction.
While this change in traffic pattern allows for a left hand turn into the IBAs, it brings up the problem of having vacs on the passanger side of the vehicle along a fence line or having pull in/back out vacs on the drivers side.
I know that customers prefer to pull up on the drives side but the pull in/back out vacs seem like more trouble with customers having to back out, possibly into the que line.
Do you have a site with vacs on the passanger side of the car? Do you think that they get less use because they are on the passanger side?
BTW: There will be 6 pull in/ back out vacs in the front of the property but there is enough of clearance in the front to allow manuvering.
