Hello,
bought a used laser and been updating it and refurbishing it etc.
***the arch seems a little to sloppy (alot of side to movement say 3 to 4 "
took it apart i realize that there is groves in there for it to break away
perhaps they are gouged out a little to much?
The bolt is tight, am i missing something?
Thanks for the help

I don't have a LW but I assume it's similar in some ways to ryko.

You may be talking about gear box slop. My ryko has a little after the years, actually close to 3" but it still works fine. Till it doesn't one day I'll replace it.

Or There may be a keyway on your shaft that's worn out. You may be able to see if the arm is moving independent of the gear box reciever, or if the gear box is moving with it showing the slop is between the gears in the box.

If the bolts are tight it's probably gear slop. If it washes a car without issue. Change the oil and run it if you want. See how it does. Mines been like this a few years and still going.

I think the grooves you mentioned is wear from arch being tripped my grooves and Slop got so bad I could no longer hold seals in. It would leak shortly after Repair. Fortunately my vender had a good used arch works good now nice and tight.
