Petit 360i Owners

GoBuckeyes

Self-Serve and Automatics
Those that have installed and operated these units what are your thoughts after doing so? We are reloading a site this fall with two and I wanted to find out what your biggest disappointments or gripes are with the machine. Is there anything you would have installed or ordered differently after actually washing cars with the units. Are you getting the throughput you had hoped for? Just trying to shorten my learning curve in advance. Thanks

We have had the Petit units in our wash now for three years. I have never regretted putting them in. We don't get quite the output as advertised because I run more passes on our top two washes than some operators do. I can do 17-18 cars an hour when we are really busy.
Tom Petit and his crew are great to work with. You won't find any better people.
The only complaint I have is the bearings in the side flippers wear out quicker than I would like. But we wash a lot of cars and the bearings are a wear item so maybe I shouldn't even complain about that.
As far as wash quality goes I don't think you will find a better machine as long as your not scrimping on presoak.
We initially had the foam waterfall and switched it out for a rain arch. The waterfall uses a lot of product and your constantly fighting for it to look like its supposed to.

How often are the bearings wearing out? Been considering Petit and this is the exact concern I've had about them

We have three machines so we are in there monthly replacing a bearing somewhere. To be fair we usually just replace the bad ones and don't shot gun the whole side which might be better.
