The recent budget dispute highlights the failure of Obama be an effective executive and his use of political doubletalk to disguise the issue. Obama could have easily passed a budget last November when his party held the majority in Congress. Instead he chose to push through a healthcare program that will either be declared illegal or legislated out of existence.
Now he claims that the Republicans refuse to compromise. He sa on the budget when he accepts the 71 billion in cuts. What he fails to point out is that he is willing to accept that cut in his proposed budget (which is loaded with increases in entitlements), not in the actual spending based on last year's budget. In other words while saying he is willing to compromise he is in reality refusing to accept a true budget cut in spending. That is doubletalk at its finest.
