presoak for detergent

Why do we use such a wimpy chemical for detergent in the ss? It seems to me that presoak should do a better job of cleaning than most detergents. On that note I filled my detergent bin with presoak today. Have I made a mistake?

If you're referring to the high-pressure soap, I don't. What I use is stronger at the tip than the presoak in a lot of self-serves. In fact I was playing around with it last night and pumped the bay soap straight from the tank as presoak, and it cleaned much, much better than the presoak. I may change it over that way permanently even though it will be more expensive.

My SS hp soap is anything but wimpy!

It cleans well on its own and if you foamy brush afterwards it get the car clean.

Plus the smell (lemon) is great and the show is great. Why mess with that?
