Can you high pressure wash a diesel engine the same as a gas engine?

Just be sure to cover any air intakes, plugs or electrical areas that may get fouled if sprayed directly with water. We use plastic grocery bags and large rubber bands. Obviuosly, you do not want the engine to be hot when you put the bags on.
