Are you talking about auto cashier printer? If so mine just quit last evening. Weird. Haven't had time to mess with it yet. Its a thermal one.

Yes, the paper cutter gets jammed, a new one cost $1000.00. Have to update the whole printer system, the factory that built the old ones in china burned down.

RDM electronics has the printers for about $600 give or take a little. I bought one for one of my 10 year old WS2's a few months ago.

Not sure what happened there plus I can't edit the post? Oh well...like I was saying...I have two older WSII's that I'm trying to update. Just added a double sided reader to one and will do the other in a few months. One thing I'm in need of is a printer. I've noticed the printers in the units look the same but have one harness that is slightly different between the two so I'm not able to swap from unit to unit without swapping the driver board as well. Is there anyone that will service these things? Don't really want to spend the rediculous amount they want for the Hecon upgrade.

GoBuckeyes - I use RDM a good bit. I usually just call in and ask for Steve in sales. 1-800-282-5183.
Hope this helps.

OK...Steve may be quick with answers but maybe a little too quick. I asked him specifically if I could send my printer and driver board in to be serviced and he said yes, that is what they do. Girl calls me today to let me know my printer and driver board arrived and that they do not service those printers and driver boards...they only sell new...$475 later my broken printer, driver board and new printer and new driver board are on their way back. Its what I needed, I just could have done without the hassle and expense of shipping my junk down south.

I spoke to that same girl a few months back and was told the same thing when I asked if I could send mine in for repair. Yes 475 dollars later I had a brand new printer and driver board. Worked great. One thing you will want to pay attention to....there are a lot of dip switches on the driver board. The receipts on mine weren't printing out correctly after first install. The lines of text were all out of place and messed up. I took a picture of the board and emailed it to unitec, they identified a dip switch that was out of place from what it should be set at. After I changed it, all was well again.
