Seems that QR codes are becoming more and more the new way to interact with customers these days, I currently use them for our Pay by Phone program and to lead customers to our WashCard program as well. Even some car dealerships in our area now have you scan a QR code to access pricing and info versus having a huge paper in the window with all the info, auto part stores Orileys, CarQuest, NAPA are using them to help a customer locate certain parts for their vehicle. But some customers are old school and just cannot understand the new technology no matter how you explain it to them. Also I see them on all the equipment I buy now to help expedite reordering when it's time.

QR code use seems to have died off. For a while I saw them on everything, now it seems like it's just a novelty, and the apps that actually work are hard to find and loaded with spam/ads.

I had planned on creating a number of instructional videos for using a self-serve wash and putting instructions along with a QR code link on signs around the wash, but after showing them to quite a few people who all seemed completely uninterested I never bothered with it.

We are thinking of the exact same thing when we get time but they need to be entertaining and tightly edited. (short duration)

It's true, QR codes died off a bit but now that users are more aware its becoming more prevalent again, its also a great tool though especially if it does something smart, engaging, or adds value to the customers wash experience.
