I've begun imagining I work for an imaginary boss, even though the real boss is me.
When I am going about my work day, sometimes I get lazy or complacent or have a bad attitide. I have started to imagine myself working for a boss whom I love to please during these times when my enthusiasm wanes. It has helped in the following ways:
1. The items on my ever-present 'to do' list get checked off faster!
2. I act like I should more often; as my company's BEST employee.
3. I see things in a new light.
4. I have less time where I am unproductive, bored or a slacker.
5. The benefits to the company are immediate and noticeable, even if it's just sweeping up or painting something I have neglected to paint for awhile.
Try it; it works for me!
