Well, it's official; the television folks have run out of ideas.

Evidenced by 2 items I saw tonite on the boob tube:

1. "World's fattest Mom will be enjoying sausage and eggs for Mothers Day."

2. "Dr. Phil shaves his mustache"

Um, What?

I think they ran out of ideas a long time ago. How many "Law and Order series are there, how many CSI series , how many same old reality shows...and on and on

I know a few guys that have cut the cable, and get all their TV from the Internet, Movies from Netflix, and shows from HULU, and an outside antenna for network TV and local news. They are saving alot of $$$$.
I still can't see the fascination with american idol, and dancing with stars.
Seen them both once. It was worse than waterboarding. I can't seem to see why people are buying large tv's and now 3-d TV's, with nothing to watch.

I still love a little tv; mainly the same sitcoms over and over ad nauseum. (My wife I know questions marrying me due to quirks like this.):p

Does that make me simple? I can't help it; Jerry Stiller is a comedic genius, so is Kevin James and Leah Remini is oh so easy on the eyes. Patton Oswalt, Gary Valentine and the rest of the K.O.Q. cast are equally as great!

I like to read more than watch the TV. All I watch when I do turn it on is the History Channel, Discovery Channel, Biography, Food Network and sports. I do sometimes watch Two and a Half Men and the show after it and once in a while an old John Wayne movie. My family watches the rest of the crap on the tube so I guess that is an entertainment cost.

no tv

my tv went with the ex in 1981 and I never looked back.I read and go to movies that I choose.Guests tend not to stay very long also.I will admit that a stay at a motel finds me checking out what I 've missed, nothing.

SW Indiana melon fields.
Ted, is that you?

I remember something about a guy from Montana with no TV or much other contact with the outside world. Did you live in a 12 X 12 cabin in the mountains? Is that motel backed by the government?:D
