Remodel

I own an old 5 bay self serve in a small town. It’s old and tired looking, and I’m wanting to remodel it. Are there companies that specialize in carwash type of remodeling construction? It’s just your standard brick wall/metal roof wash built in 1993 and never really upgraded. I’m the only game in town and it’s very busy and my old equipment runs great. Just want to make it look nice again. I’ve talked with some general contractors, but just wondering if there are specialized car wash remodeling companies that might be more knowledgeable about the best options for carwash construction designs/materials. I’m near Houston, TX. Thanks

I worked for a company that built car washes. It doesn't require any specialty knowledge or equipment, but you do want really good people to do the work. I've worked alongside guys who pride themselves in the bricks being perfectly straight, and I worked in a remodel where the mason made the wash look like a drawing from a Dr. Seuss book.

Post some pictures. I remodeled a 1970's built wash you would be suprised what a good acid washing on the brick and a new coat of paint will do. In the equipment room I purchased used and refurbished it myself. My guys and I did all the installation only hired an electrician bc city required a permit otherwise we would of done it

Muratic acid and a high pressure power washer, I think it's 3000 psi with heat.

Yeah thats the old roof (went cheap there prbly should of replaced it in hindsight) but with a quick wash and new paint makes all the difference. All the customers complimented me on the place as well and revenue is up 50%

I also added new bay doors (used ones as well) and added triple foam which gets used A LOT at this location. Pics are old and new doors (before the royal blue decal that matches the roof)

Thanks coach. I used direct to metal paint from Sherwin Williams. Power washed the old paint first then came back through with a paint gun and 2 coats
You do much taping off? How long to just paint that place, SS bays & vacuum area?
I ask, cause I need to do exactly the same thing.

Between a good power washing and 2 coats we finished in a day. Also we had to make a few repairs prior to painting so that took some time as well. No taping just a couple large paint shields and 2 paint guns going.

I figured your looking to spruce up the new wash.

Yeah Home Depot should have them....if you have local tool rental store they should have them as well.

I'm glad to see you're interested in remodeling your car wash. While I don't have direct knowledge of car wash remodeling companies in Houston, TX, it's a great idea to look for specialists in the industry who can provide the best options for car wash construction designs and materials. Consider investing in equipment and products to help keep your car wash clean and well-maintained, even after the remodel. For example, check out Mustang Cleaning Supplies https://mustangcleaningsupplies.com for a range of high-quality cleaning products that can help you keep your car wash looking its best. Good luck with your remodel!
