replacement pit grates

I am needing to replace some metal pit grates. I have skimmed some previous posts to find a company with replacement metal grates with no luck. I am not looking for fiberglass grates.

Has anybody dealt with a company (not the middle man carwash companies) who has metal grates?

I've had all mine made at welding shops due to the different sizes of my grates. My grates had to handle the weight of skidsteer and forklift. My last set lasted 15 years then rusted out.

I had some stolen a few years ago and just had a local shop make me some more. Probably your best bet.

Bar grating is ridiculously expensive so hang on the your whatever because you’ll be in sticker shock when you find out what they cost. Here’s a couple of wen sites that you can get pricing from

The last time I had mine stolen it cost around $3200 to get them replaced.

I go to the local metal supply outlet. They often have some scrap pieces of grating that you can buy pretty cheap. If not they will cut you some in bigger lengths. I buy some metal cutting blades that I put on my skill saw and cut it to size myself. You can buy a whole sheet and cut it yourself.

We just got 3' X 20' Galvanized anti skid grate. Fazzio steel 520.00. Cut it to size with 10" chop saw, and sprayed the cut ends with Cold galvanizing spray.
