Hi all,
My RO reject water is stored in a tank and then gravity fed to a pump with pressure switch and mix with city water for my SS functions. After 8 years, the pump has gone bad and is not repairable. This is a 120 volt pump on a 20 amp breaker with a pressure switch, and bladder like on a hot water tank.

Need suggestions and or model numbers and supplier for suitable replacement. I am near a Grainger they just have so many pumps it's confusing.

Tks

You can get them at Home Depot a lot cheaper than Grainger, or try zoro.com if you're just looking for a replacement pump or motor.

My weep recycle works the same way: water reservoir feeding a pump to a bladder tank. For about 6-8 years I used a procon, but was replacing it every 2-3 years. Probably not a good application for a procon because the water wasnt real clean, just clean enough to prevent clogs in my hoses/tips. Procon might work well for you in this application since your water is cleaner.
Anyhow I switched my weep to a standard well pump, works better with "dirty" water. (above ground, not deep well.) Been running that way for 10-15 years. Had to replace the impeller once, but that was my fault - hose leaked, pump ran dry for a couple hours and melted the impeller :(
A well pump would work pretty good for you, & most are rated for continuous duty. Also pathetically simple to work on, and you can buy them pretty much anywhere.

I just have my reject gravity feed into my rinse tanks with a jobe valve set at a slightly higher level then the city water. my reject overflow also just drops to rinse tank. If they both overflow then goes out to pit in the bays. I am looking at another location that has a weep pit with a well pump setup like you discussed. I was thinking of just installing 2 flo-jets on there with a filtered pickup area in the pit??(thoughts) Any reject overflows would cycle into that pit.

I use a Grundfos multistage pump- 220v. You can get a cheaper booster pump which will do the job. I think mine is about 8 or 9stages. A well pump from a local farm supply store would work well.

Thanks. My old pump was a Grundfos, finally able to track info on it as the name plate was very worn. It was a 3hp, a huge overkill for this project. But it lasted almost 10 years, I ordered the 1hp version, that will be plenty big. A bit mire $ than other options but I like to stick with a winner
