The RO water coming from the machine has a TDS of 12 but the water in the plastic tank has a TDS of 21 I drained the tank a month ago, why is it so high?
RO water in tank is much higher than discharge water

Although 21 is not very high, you probably have a leaky check valve somewhere that is allowing water to backfeed into the product water.
