I have a flat style roof and presently have all my high pressure and low pressure lines run in a sheet metal type trough on the roof.It has a removeable top every 12ft well after 23 yrs the bottom of the trough has rusted out and looking at replacing it and was wondering what anybody else uses or any ideas on what to use. I was thinking some type of plastic or pvc so you didnt have the rust out problem.

I was thinking of feeding hoses through individual small pvc pipes inside a large pvc pipe.

10" cee purlin. One on bottom with the open end up, another on top hinged to the bottom one with the open end down. Works great. Wind won't blow it open and it is galvanized so corrosion is not an issue. Have done 2 washes, plan on doing the other 2.

A friend of mine has done the same thing as Ghetto, except he had a cover made out of coated roofing steel and uses hose clamps left loose enough to slide off the cover.

I went to my HVAC guy and had mine made out of square duct (galvanized). I can remove the top in 8 foot sections. I put foam insulation in it and paint it black. The color sucks up a ton of heat and it won't stay wet inside very long in the summer (it will dry itself out after the leak is fixed) ...in the winter its kind of like free heat tape. Been this way for 15 years...
