Rusty Stainless

I have the dx2002 ultimate timers in my self serve bays. They get rusty within a week of cleaning them with acid or various other cleaners. I was told that the original contractor that built the place cleaned up with an acid and they have been that way ever since. Any ideas on solving this problem?

Clean them with Kleen-Wall and make sure you neutralize the acid properly.

The only time I've seen stainless "rust" is when there's vapors from muriatic acid or chlorine.

There are many different grades of Stainless steel. If you boxes were made from a lower grade Stainless, like a low 200 grade then they will rust no matter what you clean them with. About only thing you could do is to seal them with a clear lacquer. Basic Stainless steel is made up of Steel, Chromium, Nickel and a small amount of Manganese.
