scan coin counter problem...help

I just got a brand new scan coin sc313 coin counter and the quarter setting is jamming the quarters or rejecting them if i set it on the next notch. Is there a way for me to adjust it slightly?
 
Is this a new new coin counter? If it is it is it should have come with a manual. Is this a Canadian model or a US model? I've got 2 of the Scan coin 303 and they are a work horse.
