You can also try telling IE8 to run the web software page in a "compatibility mode. You should have a little page icon that looks lik it is searated just to te right of your address bar.
IN addition, a lot of camera viewers ave a more robust downloadable software ackage tha does not run through a web browser. With my Q-See DVR I can run through a browser, or run the more robust downloadable package. THe software package was a download from the manufacturers website.
