Self serve dryers....Air Shammie

coincarwash.ca

Washin cars in the GTA
I am thinking of making my own self serve Air shamme type dryers. I plan on mounting the vac motors in the rafters above the bays, it will be quiter for the customers.
I have a few questions.

1. should I go with 1 1/2" or 2" hose? and why?
2. what parts do I need? Does anyone have some plans tey can give me?
3. I plan on buying the mosmatic booms, motors, and the gun and the backflow from Kleen-rite.
4. What contactor should I get
5. what should I mount the 3 motors on?

Any other info would be great.
Thanks

Sorry you didn't get any response. I was anxious to see what everyone said. I will give you my opinion on the subject for what it is worth. I think you should buy the system from Diskins or from Blast-O-Dry and get a warranty. I just cannot see saving THAT much money without a lot of hassle and possibly compromising performance. I would at least take a hard look at buying one unit for reference. They are not that expensive. The units I have installed are being used a lot (by the customer) and have proven to be a good investment.

Diskin systems unit is inexpensive and easily installed. There booms are half the price of Mosmatic. So you can save yourself money and a headache by just inquiring about them. You'll be surprised.

installed at least a year ago

Are you worried about it catching on fire being made of plywood?
I was thinking of doing the same.
Would it be too much to ask for a digital picture of the motors mounted on the plywood?
