I have a side street that separates my private property from a senior citizens center that has several other access streets. On their side is a city water plant that farmers use to fill water trucks,I use the plant to flood irrigate my trees by laying down a 2" hose across the side street on to my property.I block the street with a 1 ton truck and have a road closed sign a both ends,There is about a 8 foot gap on one end.It wasn't enough today! First guy was a farmer with service truck and he turned around the guy behind him was the senior center transit driver with passengers in a mini van ,he drove over the hose and it split with the water in the hose.I'm 100 ft away watching this and run over to the senior center as he is getting out and ask him what didn't he understand about the road closed and destroying my hose. All he said was a weak sorry I didn't see it.What I said isn't printable on these pages,I called the senior center manager told her what happened and that a bill will be coming to her.Later to day I found out the driver was the student driver instructor in school for 30 years,he is 73 years old .I have some real concerns about this as in my other business which is a usps contractor the 3 accidents my company has had in 36 years has been the fault of drivers over 70 years old in small towns. This guy is an accident just waiting to happen as he also transports other seniors to Great Falls 180 miles rt,really doesn't make sense to have a senior citizen driving other seniors that can no longer drive .Thanks for the rant
