AMS is no longer supporting or carrying an inventory of any electronics for the Sensit I systems that they stopped building in 2004 when they introduced the Sensit II system. You ask how do I know if I have a Sensit I system in my vendor? Look at the serial number of the vendor and see if the last two digits of the number ends in “A,B,C or D and then the number “4” or lower. Then look at the display on the front of the machine to see if you have a one line read-out or you have two lines to read. The two line displays are all Sensit II or III and are still being supported by AMS.
Some of you may have serial number that is older than 2004 but have a two line display on your machine. These are refurbished vendors that we have sold over the years or have been converted to the newer electronics at sometime in the past years. There are still a good number of vendors out in the field that are Sensit I machines and work just fine day in and day out. As long as they are working we suggest that you just keep them clean and operate them until they quit. At that time you will have to buy a conversion kit that will update your vendor to the latest electronic control system and your vendor will run as good as a new one. With the conversion kit you throw all the old electronics in the trash can and you get a new control board, new Sensit system, new digital display, and all the harnesses that go with them; this works for both the ambient snack (ShurVend "39" or "51") machines and the ShurVend Visi-Combo refrigerated machine. All we need is the serial number of your vendor and a conversion kit will be shipped to you with instructions on how to do the conversion. These conversion kits are $500-$600 at the present time.
