My one coin acceptor is acting up after 4 years of flawless service. It is a sensortron in a Jim Coleman Co. vacuum. Is there any way to repair or clean it. It intermitantly accepts coins about every third coin. All the rest fall through to coin return. I turned down the sensitivity on the control but to no avail. Can you clean these things? Any idea on who has these for replacement at decent price? Thanks for your help in advance.

GinSan won't repair their Sensortrons unless they're still in warranty. The closest match to it in cost, design and performance is the Slugbuster I. Avoid the Slugbuster II since it will accept dollar coins and only give credit for a single quarter. Parker will repair their parts out-of-warranty and always at a better price than new.

I would try cleaning it first. Mine did the same thing. I cleaned and it works fine now. You have to clean under the swing arm with alchohol and a qtip.
