Slugbuster P-37 vs. P-47

Does anyone know the difference between a P-37 and P-47 Slugbuster? I vaguely remember that the only difference was the connecting plug on the P-37 mates with Hamilton ACW's. The reason I ask.....I have a spare P-47 on hand, and I'd like to put it in my ACW IV after "swapping" the connecting plug from the old P-37. Will it work?

That’s a good question. The Slugbuster P-37 is made for the Hamilton ACW’s. I believe the difference between the P-37 and the P-47 is the coin pulse duration. You could try putting the P-47 into the ACW, who knows it might work or you could get a Dollar for a quarter. Before you cut the plug off the P-37 open up the side cover and unplug the harness from the board, it’s filled with silicone gel so it could be messy. The P-37 is repairable from Parker/Slugbuster, costs about $35-$40

Now there's a business! I could skip washing cars....and get a dollar for a quarter..... Makes me want to try.

Thanks. I'll give it a shot.

I just got off of the phone with Parker Engineering. The pulse width of both is the same....about 50ms. If you use a P-47 in lieu of the P-37, the purple wire on the P-47 needs to be insulated...it isn't used and sends a 24V AC pulse that the ACW won't need.
