Remember, this is all for your own good. You are not smart enough to run your life without our help. In a sense I'm glad I'm getting older and won't be around when all this is commonplace. Jusr read yeaterday the OnStar, that wonderful help voice on GM cars, is now tarcking your every move, even if you are not a subscriber. And yes, they may be selling the information to the police, insurance companies, highway safety council, etc., etc., etc. They also have a device called a "stingray' that acts as a portable cell tower. By driving around, and if your cell phone is just on, they can triangulate where you are. Couple that with the newer infrared radar systems that can "see" through walls, and the infrared imaging systems now in use in England to find people whose house thermostat is turned up too high. I had no idea these smart meters could do that, but it's like the Orwellian prophecy of government doing this for our own good.
