Soap and wax solenoid location

Currently my pump stand uses gravity fed wash water with the soap and wax solenoids located on the intake manifold of the pump. Is there any reason I can't move the solenoids to a manifold on the bottom of their respective chemical tanks? As long as I used suction rated hose\tubing, what would be the difference, if any?

There should be no difference. The job is done the same regardless of the placement. I probably wouldn't put them under anything just as a consideration of servicing them.
