We sell Weg contactors and overloads. I would have to look but that is probably $60-80 for both the overload and contactor. iec contactors are pretty much all the same ...abb, allen bradley, eaton....doesn't matter.
So can i use them interchangeably? overload usually what burns out. usually its the left leg looking from the front.

I wouldn't recommend using an onerload and motor starter made by different manufacturers together. What's the nameplate fla on the motor? I need coil voltage also. They really should last 10 plus years in most applications.

How is the overload burning out? Does it trip over and over until the unit fails? It may be rated too low.

There's no reason you can't do that as long as the units mount together securely. The overload is just wires running through a plastic case with heat sensors to sense overload conditions.

I agree Mep but if I recommend that and they don't mount securely it's sort of my fault. Also depending on how hot and where the heat could have damaged the Contactor. Again, unlikely but my fault if I didn't recommend replacement. All that being said if he's had multiple failures I'd put in both parts to be sure. Also with the fla we can make sure the Contactor is right or even size up one size to be sure.

"usually"? How often does this happen? That is a rare, rare event at my places. What's causing them to burn up?
I wouldn't know the cause, but it does not trip, it just usually burn out and i find out if customer say no pressure. Motor is still working; belt looks good. Tech say it could be loose and cause trip/burn out but when i replace new one, it was on there pretty tight and no loose wirings. Got it from JC whopping $88 for just overload. 1st one burned out within 3 yr and this burn out 5th yr but then again these 2 bays are the most used. But that shouldnt be the case because i changed out a motor on a bay that is use the least.

Just replace both parts and you should be good. You could have an electrician check it all out but I'd put in both new parts first then if that fails call an electrician.

If the overload is "burning up" and the bay is still running, it's a problem with the wires being loose. The overload doesn't trip the current to the motor, it cuts the control voltage to the system. The overload is just wires in a plastic case with nothing to fail that would only stop the motor.
