I am looking for a diagram of how to properly plumb a self serve system. I realize there may be some differences of opinion but I have an older wash and want to make sure that I have the best setup. Mainly concerned about the order of check valves, do I need an accumulator, am I missing a part I don't know about. If anyone has a picture diagram that would be great.

Good luck with that!!! There are about as many variations as there are different cars on the road! Since this is your first post, I'm assuming you just bought a wash?! It would help if you told us what manufacturer your pump stand is and how old it is. Pictures always helps...
