SS plate for vac

I broke a key off in one of my vacs and I guess I'm going to have to grind through the stainless plate that holds the lock. Anybody have one of those laying around? I shutter to think what JC would ask me for one. I have a locksmith friend coming to look today but the next step is to attack with the grinder.
Thanks

Jimmy,

My guess is that the locksmith will drill out the key itself. I have lucked out in the past with tiny picks & worked the broken key far enough out to grab it with a needle nose. If you can tip the vacuum downwards some --- it could help the process.

There is no tipping it. It's in a ss frame filled with concrete. I can't drill out the lock either. I'm about to attack with my grinder if he can't coax the key out.

Years ago I broke the key off in the ignition of my car. I used Superglue on the broken key end to extract the rest from the lock.

Don't use 3-in-1 oil. Idiot Patrick told me to use it on the Buffo locks on the vendors, but after a month they were all so gummed up I could barely get them open.

Locksmith couldn't do any good either. Ended up attacking it with a grinder and finally got it. That ss is tough and it's in a hell of a spot to get to.
