Stand alone SS dryer

I installed them about 8 months ago. It seems like more of a novlty item. People will play with them if they have extra time to burn but I rarely see anyone dry the entire vehicle with them.

One thing that does sell are the blue sham towels for drying that are sold in a vending machine. Less investment and immediate profit.

From my experience with them, it depends on the location. I sold some to a 6 bay in the Miami area and they paid for themselves in under two years. These are in the bay, not stand alone.

I have them set up both ways, standing alone near vacs and on the dial in the SS bay. The stand-alones are a total bust. They average less than a dollar a day. The ones in the bay get used quite frequently. I don't have anything metering them, but I hear them running numerous times a day, not scientific, but good enough for me. Customers mostly use them for blowing water out of the nooks and crannies and not the whole vehicle. Bikers tend to like them as well. As an extra service on the bay dial is the only way to utilize them, but well worth it.
