I'll be switching my chemicals over to Simoniz and will be purchasing through KR - no distributor. Have spoken to some other operators, visited locations, as well as KR people and Simoniz directly.

Simoniz has an extensive line and I was wondering what specific products some other Simoniz operators on this forum are using for:

IBA friction:

Detergent
Sealer/DA

IBA Touchless:

Presoak - one or two step
Sealer/DA

Also - on the sealer, anyone use Dri Brite? A combo sealer/DA.

I've seen the Poly Sealant and am not sure if this supplies enough break to dry or if it is more a sealer that also needs a separate DA.

Am also incorporating the new carnauba wax product they have put out.

Thanks in advance for sharing any info.

Mike,

Good move on ingredient co-branding.

I once worked for the chain so branded - good products and name recognition.

However, with the season coming up, I would not recommend “no distributor” approach.

Most of my clients ingredient co-brand. Each used a process to create awareness and image.

This included getting a competent technician on-site to help formulate the service recipes, select, set-up and calibrate the chemistry and brand the point-of-sale.

If you have a website, there is also plenty of marketing material you can embed.

Thank you Robert - I do appreciate your advice - especially for initial set-up.
