Swivel adapter for vac dualer

Has anyone been able to attach a vac hose swivel adapter or cuff to a vac dualer? It looks like it's only made to go around the hose directly. It just seems like a weird design to me. We find it easier to make the hose hang nicer when you can rotate the hose in the vac a little bit.

I've put a reducing swivel splicer on over the tank stub as an adapter.

I tried that and they didn't make it with enough room between the 1 1/2" and the 2" to put those on the outside. It needs to be something that goes on the inside.
