TAP Messaging

For those that have a land line dial out modem (TAP Messaging) that sends the old style traditional modem sound out to be converted to a text message....please note.....

I have such a system with my Mark vii GT series wash. I noticed no alerts since 1/31/15. After quite a bit of testing and trouble shooting, turns out Verizon disconnected their TAP line on 1/31/15. I am currently looking at two third party TAP providers that will cost about $30/month.

Another thought might be switching cell carriers, but I would assume that if Verison has dropped TAP, others are soon to follow?!

I have a 4000 that still uses paging. I use a service from spok.com. They used to be usa mobility. I pay $42.95 a quarter.
