I am trying to set up my freeze protection system, but I am having a hard time locating the timed load in the Etowah Valley Boxes? The system has the COM, HOT, and LOAD on the same plug in the quickpay system, but when I monitor the load side with a multimeter inside the equipment room, it only shows voltage when the HP functions are on…does this make any sense at all. My other bays that I haven’t upgraded yet with the D/H Ginsan equipment were nice and easy to find, but I am having issues with the rest of the boxes. Can anyone give me some insight as to where I can pull this timed load from for the input side of my freeze protection system?

Thanks in advance!

Are you sure the timed load even runs back to the room after the upgrade? Sounds like you're testing voltage at the motor starter wire.

I talked to Jim at Etowah Valley...while he disagrees with the idea of an air/antifreeze purge, he did inform me that I should just pull the timed load from the rotary switch...I feel kind of dumb since I should have thought of that...live and learn I guess.

Are you installing the Polar Freeze system?

Jim has disagreed with a lot of my suggestions to him, which he later implemented himself.

I find Jim very hard to deal with. Thats when he actually does return your calls. His equiptment seems good but his service is terrible. If his company does something wrong its never their fault, its always the customers fault.

Ric - I haven't decided yet. I'm working out the feasibility of it and running some wires because one way or another, I am going to try out a system. I was hoping to hear from and maybe visit Packerscw to see his setup, but he hasn't gotten back with me.

Mep - Not surprised at all...

Sparkey - Jim can be a little difficult sometimes, but overall my experience has been good. I like their products, I just wish that Jim wasn't the single person with all the knowledge, that is the most frustrating part when trying to get an issue resolved.
