Timer problem not adding time foe additional quarters

We are New owner of existing SS we increase the amount to start from $1 to $2 and also adjusted the amount of time per quarter. Notification horn sounds with 1 minute left of wash time. Customer brought to our attention that if they add additional quarters during the horn notification the timer does not record the quarters add Time. If quarters are added after the horn stops additiona time is added.. Did we do something wrong??

The timer is a Para Plate model T244400

mick, Paraplate does not have last coin alert as part of the timer. What do you have tied to the horn , a Display or external beeper of some sort?

Can you post a picture of the display? That will tell a lot.
